Summary
Aug 15th
Zero
The forecast for today was rain. I zeroed. It was a beautiful day. Figures.
I was ready to quit on the way up South Kinsman two days ago. But I’m signed up for the morning shuttle to the Liberty Springs trailhead in the morning. Following the trail up will lead to Franconia Ridge and partially circuit the Pemigewasset Wilderness. The Franconia Ridge is one of the most popular hikes in the Whites. With decent weather, it may be quite crowded on the peaks. Beyond the ridge, it moves eastward towards Zealand Notch over a number of peaks. It will take three or four days to get to Crawford Notch.
See all y’all on the other side.
